"Elysium" is the third album from Minneapolis-based band, UZZA. Singer Tabatha Predovich and her band resurrected and reinvented many of the album's 13 tracks from her mid-90s Brit-pop band – Elysium. Former bandmate and primary songwriter Chris Plack joined in to play on virtually all the songs and even collaborate on a few new ones. The result is a collection of songs that range from gritty wah-guitar funk-rock to uptempo, jangly pop confections and even a daliance into flute-adorned folk music. The album is decidedly more upbeat and rhythm-oriented than the band's previous offerings (2012's "Samsara" and 2014's "Maya"), but the moody and mysterious undertones that define UZZA are still very much present.
